Dear Vineyards Running Festival Family,
Like a well-aged bottle of wine, all good things must eventually be savored to the last drop—and it’s with a heavy heart that we share the news that the Vineyards Running Festival has reached the end of its current vintage. Due to rising costs, it’s no longer sustainable for us to keep the event pouring at its best.
For years, this event has been more than just a run—it’s been a celebration of the perfect pairing: good people and great wine. From first-time 5K runners to seasoned marathoners, we’ve watched you crush goals like a winemaker stomping grapes. Your energy, enthusiasm, and post-race toasts have made this festival truly special, and we’re so grateful to have shared these miles (and Merlots) with you.
We also want to acknowledge those of you with event deferrals—we’ll be in touch in the coming weeks with options and next steps. Your patience is appreciated as we carefully uncork the details.
While this may be the final swirl in this particular glass, it’s not the end of the Vineyards story. We’re actively searching for a new home for the event—somewhere that can offer a fresh start and still capture the magic of running through wine country. Like a fine vintage, these things take time, and while we may not have news for a few months yet, please know that we’re working behind the vines to make it happen.
To everyone who has laced up, cheered on, volunteered, or simply come for the post-race vino—thank you. Your support has meant the world, and we hope to run into you again soon.
For now, let’s not say goodbye, but rather, au revoir—because like any good bottle, we believe the best is yet to come.
With thanks,
The Vineyards Team
